IMPORTANT: this is our first ever Treasure Hunt. We're figuring it out as we go, and if it goes well we'd love to do more (bigger loot, more locations, who knows). In the meantime — please don't sprint across roads, don't trample the flowerbeds, and generally use the same common sense your mum would want you to. Chance to zap a Treasure Hunt envelopeDealZap Treasure Hunt vouchers will be released to DealZap waitlist subscribers by email in daily batches between Monday 24th and Friday 28th August, up to a total of 50 vouchers. Only a limited number of vouchers will be made available per batch, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person may zap one voucher across the whole release week — anyone who zaps a voucher in an earlier batch is not eligible to zap a further voucher in a later batch. The Treasure Hunt envelope stash starts at 50 sealed envelopes and reduces as each voucher holder redeems and chooses one. Because the total number of vouchers issued equals the starting stash of 50 envelopes, every voucher holder who locates the DealZap team within the stated time window at a location is guaranteed to be able to choose an envelope — you just won't know the amount until you open it. Vouchers not redeemed by the expiry time below cannot be exchanged for an envelope under any circumstances, so voucher holders must find the team well before 5pm Sunday 30th August. Locations will be posted as clues to DealZap's Facebook and Instagram stories on arrival, with each location held for exactly 1 hour. Any voucher holder who would rather not work out our location from the clues can email hello@dealzap.gg to request a full planned breakdown of locations for the weekend in advance — though we don't recommend it, since half the fun is following the clues. Once the DealZap team arrives at the final location on Sunday, an email will be sent to voucher holders confirming that location for its final hour; reading this is entirely optional and up to each voucher holder. A redeemed envelope entitles the holder to keep the prize it contains: this will be a cash prize of between £1 and £25 for 49 of the 50 envelopes, and a £50 voucher for China Red for 1 of the 50 envelopes. The China Red voucher has no cash alternative and is subject to China Red's own terms of use. All unredeemed vouchers expire at 5pm on Sunday 30th August. Vouchers are non-transferable. Redemption is limited to residents of Guernsey aged 18 and over. Employees of DealZap and their immediate families are not eligible to redeem a voucher. DealZap is not responsible for any delay, non-delivery, or failure of an individual notification email to reach a subscriber, including where an email provider blocks, rejects, or routes it to spam, junk, or promotions folders. DealZap reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion at any time without notice. DealZap accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by participants while taking part in the Treasure Hunt, including while travelling to or from a location. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and conduct, including using common sense around traffic, public spaces, and other people.
