Our mission at DealZap is to make life more fun. So over the August bank holiday weekend we teamed up with China Red and ran our first ever Treasure Hunt. 50 sealed envelopes, a stash of cash, and a trail of clues across Guernsey. Here's how it went.

Nobody knew what was inside until they opened theirs.
Vouchers dropped by email in batches through the week, and the first people to zap one were in. Then on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th we moved around Guernsey with the stash, posting clues to our Instagram and Facebook stories each time we arrived somewhere new — an hour per stop. Find us, pick an envelope, open it.
China Red is a family-owned Chinese restaurant, takeaway and bar on the east coast of Guernsey, serving authentic Chinese food, dim sum and Chinese teas. They put the £50 voucher into the stash that made one envelope very different from the other 49.
That was our first ever Treasure Hunt, and we were figuring it out as we went. Thank you to everyone who followed the clues, chased us across the island and put up with our terrible sense of direction. We'd love to do another one — bigger loot, more locations.
